Before you head out with sunscreen and bug spray, find out what to bring: home baked, wine, fresh bread?
Pack your own sleeping bag, pillow and towel.
Find out what your chores should be: sweeping floor, washing dishes, laying the table – and if you were a student of mine, you know how to do that elegantly.
Make your
bed in the morning.
Respect your hosts bedtimes and waking up times.
And do turn off your cell phone. Being at the cottage means socializing.
What people are saying:
Nice message – short and sweet. Yes, we do need more compassion. Yesterday I was at a lab where there was no compassion practiced to me by members of the male population. There were no seats available for me and I was standing with my cane and not one man got up to offer me a seat. It was a lady who did. Where is the compassion?
Thank you for sharing. I have a lot to improve. Lol

As usual, it’s always good to hear from you.
My dear, a lot of these rules have been thrown out of the books. Almost everyone has been broken by today’s society. The only one that I can think of that still exists and even then in few circles is opening a car door for passengers to enter. But thanks for the reminder of what used to be.
It’s good to be reminded of the past occasionally. Very interesting.
