Oh, it’s Christmas again; the atmosphere, the decorations, the aromas, the concerts, the anticipation. Even Canadian Tire and Home Hardware advertize Christmas, the wonderful time of the year.
What can I give – you ask – for someone who seemingly has it all. Give them your time, visit an elderly, volunteer at a homeless shelter, call your grandparents, aunts and uncles and cousins, and maybe one person in the family whom you otherwise would not call. Invite someone who lives alone to your home for coffee and Christmas cookies. They will never forget it. Take the first step. It’s Christmas.

What people are saying
Thanks for this. It is a good reminder for those of us who wear prescription glasses. I often forget that mine turns dark when I am outside.
– Agnes
Wise words, as always. Now that I have glasses that go dark automatically, I will be conscious of them.
– Carole Hartley
I forwarded to my daughter who has a home office just to remind her of the importance of being seen by her co workers & boss to bond with them.
– Kathy
Great topic and one that I hold dear to my heart. I agree totally. I used to work at the Licensing Department and we had to license anyone who came in to apply for a certain type of licence that needed a photo. e.g. Cab Driver, Dancer, etc. So, my question was always if they come in with their face covered, how do we know who we’re taking. Up to when I retired that question was still being dealt with. Not sure if they finally came up with an answer.

Thanks – so true – hiding any part of face does not bode trust!
