I usually don’t involve myself into politics, partly because I am busy running my life.

A few weeks ago I was the speaker for a lovely ladies’ group.  In the middle of my speech the woman (who hired me) decided to interrupt and ‘add’ to what I was saying.    About ten sentences in, I said nothing and kept composure.  Five minutes later there she was again – same story.

There are two reasons where you may interrupt a speaker… if she is over the allotted time, which doesn’t allow enough time for the next speaker,  or if she is off the subject to the point that it is embarrassing.    Neither of these happened in my case.    The woman who interrupted me – twice – was just eager in having her voice heard too.

I had this happen to me about twenty years ago and I never again accepted another speaking engagement from them.

Please don’t interrupt a speaker unless it is really important.

I had to smile at your choice for this month.  Very appropriate and to quote your saying: “Yes, this too shall pass.”

President Donald Trump has the legal authority to direct US federal agencies to use the name ‘Lake America’ , but the designation applies only within the United States and carries no international authority over shared or Canadian waters.  Don’t let the headlines get in your way – the province is named Ontario, the lake is named Ontario, and no matter what Washington prints on their maps, its still our lake when we’re looking at it from our shores.
